How to tether android hotspot Wi-Fi to a PC

It is amazing nowadays how smart phones have come to make our daily activities easy and simple. Gone were the days where you have to suffer going to the internet café to get an internet connection on your PC in other for you to be able to browse on your machine.

Today with the help of the modern internet and these Smartphones everything has now become easier for us. You can now sit at the comfort of your home and browse the internet with ease.

There are so many ways by which you can get access to internet connection on your machine.You can get access to internet on your machine through the use of a modem, Wi-Fi router, coaxial cables or through android phone or tablet hotspot which am going to show you how to that.

Let’s now talk about the main point. Tethering your phone hotspot to a PC. To tether hotspot to PC, you have to first make sure that your phone has the tethering feature. To know whether your phone has the feature, follow the steps below;

1. Go to phone settings, under the settings locate mobile and Wi-Fi or Wireless and Networks depending on your phone brand.

2. Tap on the Wireless and Network a list of menu will appear.

3.  Look for tethering portable hotspot. If you are able see it, means your phone has the tethering feature. But if you can’t find it means the phone does not support the tethering which is impossible for this latest smartphones.

4.  Let’s say you were able to locate this feature on your phone, then what you have to do is to tap on it and it will come out with hotspot settings, tap on the ON tab to ON the hotspot. After it has been ON you can now go ahead to set your password, change the name of your device and also set the number of users per a connection.

5. Now that you have done all the necessary settings you can go ahead to ON your PC Wi-Fi. When the Wi-Fi is ON the PC will automatically identify your phone hotspot. Click on your device name in the list of networks on your PC and if you have set a password on your phone the PC will prompt you for a password. Key in your password that’s the one you set on your phone and click on connect.

6. On a successfully connection , you will see the network section on your task bar indicates internet access. Meaning you can now browse the internet on your PC.

But please note that before you can have a successful connection you need to ON your phone data.
