How to bold, italic and strikethrough words in WhatsApp

WhatsApp users keep on increasing day in day out and its developer’s keep on adding new features to the app. WhatsApp developers not quite long added a new feature to the app that allows one to send PDF files. Now it has also add a new feature that allow one to format his or her messages the way they want it instead of the old way of typing the text with only a custom font. This means you can now type your text in bold, italic and strikethrough a text if you have to.

So in this article am going to show you a quick way to type your message in bold, italic and strikethrough.

Let’s start!!

• First launch WhatsApp on your phone


• Select the person you want to send the message to


• To send a bold text, word or sentence,  just add an (asterix) “*” before and after the text that you want to bold. For instant if you want to bold the word “You” then type it like this *you* and WhatsApp will automatically bold it for you.


• To italic a text,  add (underscore) *_* before and after the word or text and it will appear in italic form


• To strikethrough a text add (tilde) *~* before and after the word or text and it will strike though for you.
