How to hide files and folders on your phone
folder on your smartphone. your smartphone might ends up in the hand of a friend, wife, father, brother or even a stranger and you might be having some confidential files or documents on it. This means your files are now viral to the person. Having the ability to keep certain content, such as photos and videos, out of their sight could be considered essential. This is why i came out with this post to help my cherished readers as to how to keep their files and documents private on their device, so that in case of anything, they will be rest assured that their files and documents remains safe.
To hide anything from been shown on your smartphone SD card or media gallery, follow the steps below.
- Go to file manager >>SD card on your phone
- Select the folder or the file you want to hide
- Rename the folder with a “.” In front of the folder name. For instance if the folder name is Music, rename it to “.music”.
- Now go back and check whether you will see the folder. The folder will be hidden from the file manager.
- Now if you want to unhide the folder or file, tap on the option or menu and select show hidden files. Locate the folder or file and remove the dot in front of the folder name and that should display back the folder on the file managers.
