In recent time, WhatsApp has been the most reliable and easy way to send and receive text messages, video files, music and PDFs between two or more pals. It has taking over most of the text messages platforms. WhatsApp has become part and parcel of every smartphone user’s life. But the saddest thing is that one can only use single account on his or her phone even though he or she is using a dual sim phone. Every time the question that runs through my mind was how can I have two WhatsApp accounts on my phone? I guess you also have this same question on your mind?

So In other to find answers to my questions, I begun to surf through the internet. I read a lot of post with regards to using dual account on one phone. Quite a few do help, but others do not. So I continued my search till one day I came across OGWhatsApp. This App helped me a lot because it has given me the solution to my long running thought. without wasting much time, let me take you through all the steps that you need to follow to get OGWhatsApp install on your phone and also how to activate it for you to be able to use two accounts on your phone.

• First you need to have two phone numbers so that you can activate two WhatsApp account on same android phone without any problem.

• Go and Backup your original WhatsApp chats, if you already have WhatsApp installed on your phone. To Backup chats, Open the WhatsApp application on your phone, Tap on options and then Settings >> Chat Settings >> Backup Conversions.

• Now clear all your WhatsApp data. This can be done by going to settings> WhatsApp>>Clear data.


• Go to file manager on your phone, locate a folder named “WhatsApp”, rename it to "OGWhatsApp".

• Go and Uninstall Original version of WhatsApp from your Phone.

• Download latest OGWhatsApp for Android phone on your device and install it

• Now activate the OGWhatsApp with your original WhatsApp number. i.e your previous number for WhatsApp.

• After activating you will see all your Conversations which were done using original WhatsApp on OGWhatsApp.

• Now to activate the second WhatsApp account just go to the playstore and download the normal WhatsApp again and also install it on the same device. Activate it with your other phone number and  That’s all you should now be able to use two WhatsApp accounts on your single phone.
